Power Consumption

The ZR30w is advertised as having an 85% efficiency power supply. I suspect HP is trying to match the certification allure of the 85 PLUS ratings for desktop power supplies. Whatever the case, the ZR30w has an efficient power supply.

That said, it still has a powerful CCFL backlight that needs to keep a mighty big surface area fed with photons. Power savings don’t look amazing in this graph, but that’s compared to a number of smaller panels.
