Award-winning street singer Naira Marley has caused a stir online with a string of questions regarding the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

In his initial statement released earlier today, the singer emphasized that there were no issues between him and Mohbad.

Now, on his Instagram story, Naira Marley has called for a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death, raising inquiries about the singer’s whereabouts, who he was with, the identity of the nurse who treated him, and the results of the autopsy, among others.

Furthermore, he questioned why Mohbad was hastily buried and who paid popular blogger Instablog9ja to report that he died from an ear infection.

Expressing that Mohbad deserves a dignified burial, Naira Marley urged for transparency surrounding his death.

“Hey guys, I’ve been devastated and don’t even know what to say. I’ve been deeply hurt. But let’s do this for Mohbad; I know the internet can help. Let’s shed light on this matter for Imole. Where did he go? Who took him there? Who were the people he was with? Who was he last seen with? What was the nurse treating? Why was there no autopsy? Why was he buried so quickly and in such a manner? Who paid Instablog9ja to claim it was an ear infection first? We owe this to Imole. Light will always prevail over darkness,” Naira Marley expressed.

He added, “They are trying to hide the truth by paying bloggers. Let’s show them that their money is wasted. Many of his friends know exactly what happened to him. Why are they scared to speak up? Who is pressuring people to delete posts that reveal what happened to him that day?

He deserves a dignified burial and justice.”

As expected, his series of questions has triggered reactions online, with netizens assigning blame to him.

Nkechi Blessing’s boyfriend, Xxssive wrote, “All these questions, but you failed to ask where Sammy Larry is. It’s okay.”

One Lotus Bun wrote, “Who are you questioning? Are you confused?”

Actor Joseph Momodu wrote, “This is really a questionnaire.”

One Lotus Bun added, “You forgot to ask about your second ‘dey,’ oh.”

One Dee Undisclosed wrote, “Many people will fall for this cheap reverse psychology.”

One Just King Phoebe wrote, “We’re coming to answer your questions.”

One The Genius wrote, “Go to Naira Marley’s Snapchat, and you’ll see that the guy is celebrating on Snapchat and mourning on Instagram. I have never seen anything like this in my life.”

It is recalled that many were angered by a video showing Mohbad being harassed by Naira Marley’s aide, Sam Larry.

In the video, Mohbad was shooting a music video with Zlatan in a wheelchair when Sam Larry arrived at the location with a machete and other weapons.

Following the circulation of the viral video, many people stormed Larry’s Instagram page, demanding an explanation for the brutality.

This eventually led Larry to initially restrict the comment section on his page and later deactivate it entirely.

Netizens did not spare Naira Marley, calling for his music to be banned from music platforms.

A petition to ban Naira Marley’s music label has been launched against the singer, and it has garnered over 50,000 signatures.
